New Brunswick Community College

Nearly a century ago, in 1919, the Carleton County Vocational School officially opened its doors. Over the next fifty years, vocational and training institutions took root to meet the educational needs of people in communities across New Brunswick. In the early 1970s, there was a growing feeling that New Brunswick?s post-secondary education needs could be best addressed by bringing together these vocational, trades and technical schools into one provincial network which led to the establishment of New Brunswick Community College (NBCC).

The college offers various full time, specialized programs, graduate, online and part-time programs in wide range of subject areas like business, engineering, arts and sciences. NBCC’s one-year post-graduate programs provide hands-on, practical skills and experience that complement a university degree or college diploma. Post-grad programs are designed for individuals who have already completed a university degree or college diploma. NBCC also provides academic upgrading and professional development programs.

New Brunswick Community College recognizes students are under pressure juggling academic, financial, and life?s challenges. Career counselling and wellbeing services provide a multi-faceted stepped care approach which offers students options to receive support in a variety of ways. From on-campus support groups and individual counselling sessions, to self-directed online resources and NBCC?s Mental Wellbeing App, students have choices to take charge of improving their health and wellbeing.

Students can choose to study in a vibrant, bustling city or a scenic small town. NBCC have beautiful six campuses namely Fredericton, Miramichi, Moncton, Saint John, St. Andrews and Woodstock. Each campus offers students quality, personalized education with supportive faculty. From friendly communities to lively urban centres, from majestic shorelines to mountain trails, New Brunswick has it all. The province is home to awe-inspiring vistas, world-class theatre, a lively music scene and unique cultural experiences.
